The Kata Codex is our mythical (and practical) source of truth: an internal, ever-growing body of guarded taco knowledge that powers the Summoning Circle. Think of it as the master reference behind every composition. Our book of Sacred Taco Tradition.
What is a Taco Kata?
A Taco Kata is a named form—a complete, intentional composition of base, salsa, toppings, and finishing moves. It's the technique you follow in the kitchen. In other words, it's a taco recipe.

How are your recipes composed?
We score recipe components for compatibility (flavor balance, texture contrast, regional style) and add controlled randomness to create cohesive, surprising combinations.
Can I customize or swap ingredients?
Absolutely. Treat each Taco Kata as inspiration or as a precise, step-by-step path—your choice. Make it your own: swap proteins or toppings; dial heat up or down; adjust acid/salt/sweet; and adapt for dietary needs. While we don't surface substitution suggestions, we do flag your saved allergens so you can riff confidently and safely.
What are Sacred Scrolls (Premium)?
Sacred Scrolls are the prime, ever-growing heart of the Kata Codex—our most premium and creative Taco Katas collected into a living canon."Sacred Scrolls" also refers to the membership that unlocks this library and a set of convenience-and-inspiration features (like unlimited saved favorites, shopping lists, PDF exports, and more).
Can I save my favorites?
Yes—create a free account to save up to 5 Taco Katas (recipes). They'll live in your library so you can refine, repeat, or riff anytime.Join Sacred Scrolls to unlock unlimited saves, plus other features.
Is this just AI generating random stuff?
No. The Summoning Circle is powered by our Kata Codex—our own structured pool of taco knowledge. The emphasis is on curated componentry and culinary sense, not 6-fingered guac.
Yeah but is some of the content here AI-generated?
Yes! As of 2025, TacoNinja is a one-ninja operation. Images and a lot of the supporting copy on the site are created with or with assistance from generative AI. However, the very core of this experience, from the recipes to the vibe, are human-created and carefully curated.

Is Taco Ninja free? What does Premium include?
Yes—there's a free tier with plenty to explore. Premium (Sacred Scrolls) is $1.99/month or $17.99/year and unlocks:

- Unlimited saved recipes and better organization
- Convenience features like shopping lists and PDF exports
How do payments work? Can I cancel?
We use Stripe for secure checkout. You can cancel anytime—your access continues through the end of the current billing period.
Do you offer refunds?
Generally, cancellations take effect at the next renewal. If something went wrong with your purchase, reach out at taco.ninja.mgmt@gmail.com and we'll make it right.
Privacy & Data
What data do you store about me?
We store basic account info (like your email) and preferences needed to run your account and saved katas. Payments are handled by Stripe. We don't sell your data.
